The Department of Homeland Security has a vital mission: to secure the nation from the many threats we face. This requires the dedication of more than 240,000 employees in jobs that range from aviation and border security to emergency response, from cybersecurity analyst to chemical facility inspector. Our duties are wide-ranging, but our goal is clear - keeping America safe.

At Florida Certified Investigators, we specialize in making sure businesses are compliant with the latest HIPAA and Privacy Rules. Only those businesses who have passed our rigorous testing receive our coveted award. Those businesses are then allowed to to post about their business on our site.

The Florida Police Chiefs Association is the fourth largest state police chiefs association in the United States. It is composed of more than 750 of the state's top law enforcement executives. FPCA serves municipal police departments, airport police, college and university police, private business and security firms, as well as federal, state and county law enforcement agencies. The FPCA has members representing every region of the state.

The Department's mission is to shape and sustain a peaceful, prosperous, just, and democratic world and foster conditions for stability and progress for the benefit of the American people and people everywhere. This mission is shared with the USAID, ensuring we have a common path forward in partnership as we invest in the shared security and prosperity that will ultimately better prepare us for the challenges of tomorrow.

The head of the department is the Governor and Cabinet. The Commissioner is appointed by the Governor, approved by the Cabinet and confirmed by the Senate. He/she serves at the pleasure of the Governor and Cabinet. FDLE employs about 1,700 members statewide who work at headquarters in Tallahassee or one of the seven Regional Operations Centers (ROCs).

Our mission is to help protect you, your children, your communities, and your businesses from the most dangerous threats facing our nation—from international and domestic terrorists to spies on U.S. soil…from cyber villains to corrupt government officials…from mobsters to violent street gangs…from child predators to serial killers. Along the way, we help defend and uphold our nation’s economy, physical and electronic infrastructure, and democracy. Learn more about how we have evolved into a more proactive, threat-driven security agency in recent years.
