ASIS Florida West Coast Chapter 30 Mission
To provide the opportunity to network and interact with colleagues and other security practitioners in a local setting.
To provide educational training and professional development for our members designed to arm them with the most up-to-date information concerning the challenges of today’s security practitioner.
To provide opportunities for the retention, growth, and diversity of our membership.
To provide assistance in obtaining the industry’s most coveted and recognized certifications, the CPP, PSP, and PCI.
2019 Regional Goals
Strive to engage in cross functional meetings or events with external partners outside the security industry such as facility professionals, private investigation professionals.
Strive to implement local chapter communities with the new ASIS Connect network. Establish a marketing program within each chapter.
Strive to attend local higher education institutions career day and and/or host local chapter meeting to market ASIS International. Continue to develop student membership with one new member per chapter.
Strive to conduct a training seminar on current security topics of interest to local chapter members.
Strive to assist and support chapters within the region through experience, guidance and partnering.

ASIS Foundation Scholarships and Grant Applications
On behalf of the ASIS Foundation, we are pleased to announce the opening of our 2020 scholarship and grant application period.
Thanks to the generous support of our members and corporate partners, the Foundation will be awarding more than 40 scholarships to help security professionals attain certification and advance their careers.

About the PSOC / EOC:
The 52,000-square-foot main building houses the Fire Rescue’s administrative staff and training center, the Fire Marshal's office, Emergency Dispatch, and the Office of Emergency Management. The PSOC serves as the center of County government’s functions to monitor, prepare and respond to emergencies and public safety incidents.
Our group will have a tour of the facility and information on emergency response processes followed by a Q&A session.
Our group will meet for lunch at 11am at Olive Garden 2602 W Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL 33511. The tour will begin at 1pm. This is a free event but registration is required and important. Please register no later than February 17, 2020 3:00pm.
Parking is limited so please travel in groups when possible.
